Holy salvation, you lively anglers! Remember that today in Animal Crossing New Horizons you can show how good you are with the hook thrower. The beaver and self-proclaimed tournament director C.J. is visiting your island today, pitching his tents on the fairground in front of the town hall and letting you fish with one another.
Those who show particularly great fishing skills can look forward to great prizes. But even if you only get a few of the slippery water dwellers on a leash, you might not win the summer fishing tournament, but you can sell your prey at C.J. for a profit and ACNH free items.
Fishing Tournament Rules - Here's How It Works
You can let C.J. explain the rules to you quickly, then you have 3 minutes to catch as many fish as possible. As soon as C.J. gives you the starting shot, a countdown counts down and informs you about the remaining time. A gong notifies you when the time is up.
Depending on the success you will get more or less points for it. With enough points you can win some cool prizes at Lomeus (from 10 points). There are 2 bonus points if you catch 3 fish. All caught fish end up in the cool box at Lomeus on the fairground. This has the advantage that you don't have to plan extra space when fishing. Very wonderful!
By the way, you can try your luck as often as you want. The first participation is free, but every further attempt costs a small fee of 500 Animal Crossing New Horizons furniture items participation fee. You have to empty the cooler after each round, to do this you can simply take the fish out (you now need space in your inventory for this) and sell them to Lomeus, for example - you just have to speak to him for that. The same applies to exchanging points, both topics of conversation can be found under "Other questions ...".
You might even win the cool fish stick! You have until 6 p.m. to take part in the tournament.
